In 2012, Rovio, the maker of the wildly popular game, Angry Birds, decided to team up with McDonald’s to promote its games in China. Here’s was the result. According to a McDonald’s press release, customers could vote on which of the 1,500 branded location would host a giant slingshot “to protect McDonald’s food from the pigs.”

TBWA Shanghai helped Rovio invision and implement this impressive ambient advertising campaign, which involves online media, outdoor ads, and location-based promotions that provided gamers with extra power-ups when they play Angry Birds on their iPhones in McDonald’s.
